Kaiti O’Brien scored 14 points and grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds for Long Beach State, but the 49er women’s basketball team dropped a 60-50 decision to UC Davis in a nonconference game Saturday night in Davis. Karina Figueroa scored 16 points for the 49ers (6-22), who closed to within 36-32 before the Aggies (12-14) pulled away to lead 47-37. Gray won the 200 meters, tying his school record of 21.15 seconds. Carter broke his school mark in the triple jump, leaping 52 feet, 7 1/4 inches. Richardson finished third in the heptathlon. Also for LBSU, Jimmy Grabow broke his school record in the 3,000 meters, running 7:59.40.
