Rabat – Fatima Zahra El Hor, 23, was crowned on Saturday night in Tangier, Miss Morocco 2015, as part of the 2nd edition of the national beauty pageant Miss Morocco, according to Maghreb Arab Press (MAP).Following a competition that put 27 contenders vying for the title Miss Morocco, selected from 1,500 applicants, Fatima Zahra El Hor, a Master student of “Business Law and Taxation in Marrakech”, managed to win the title of Morocco’s beauty queen.Fatima conquered the heart of the jury and the audience with her physical beauty but also with her intellectual abilities, her communication skills. The title of the first runner went to Tangiers’ Kawtar Benserghi, while those of the second and third runners were won respectively by Hafsa from Meknes and Feryal Ziani from Tetoua.Morocco’s beauty queen will work for a social cause and contribute during the coming year to defend this issue within the Kingdom and abroad, according to the organizers. While respecting Moroccan traditions, this competition “seeks to promote the fundamental values of a Morocco open to the world.”Out of respect of the country’s traditions, the beauty pageant did include a swimsuit competition.Fatima Zahra El Hor said she was “very happy and excited” by this recognition.She went ton expressed “her full readiness to work for the promotion of the situation of Moroccan women and for humanitarian causes,” according to MAP.The 27 candidates received since early May an intensive apprenticeship to prepare for the final, under the supervision of a team of coaches and professionals in the fields of choreography, communication and personal development.The ceremony was saw the attendance of Moroccan and international personalities, including Miss England 2014, Carina Tyrrell, who came to discover Morocco’s beauty, traditions and culture.© Morocco World News.
